It's relatively new one and you can know it from its lemon yellow appearance. It is located in the middle of Hachimanzaka slope, which is one of the most beautiful and famous slopes in Motomachi. At the top end of this slope, there stands Nishi high school and it commands a good view of Hakodate ports and moored Seikan Ferry boat Mashumaru.
The restaurant is located left side of the slope when you walking down the slope. Its specialties are stew and rolled sponge cake.
I ordered a seasonal lunch set. Cold cream stew, carrot pilaf, salad and wine jelly are served on a plate. I could choose ingredient of stew either seafood or roast beef. I chose former and I liked it. It costed 1180yen and a cup of coffee after the meal was included.
The building was new and inside was very clean and beautiful and much larger than I imagined.
Akiko lives in a city next to Hakodate and loves to drive around Hakodate and surrounding area. I hope people who visit or live in the Southwest area of Hokkaido come to love the area, too. 函館の隣町在住で道南エリアのドライブ大好きAkikoです。道南を訪れたり、住んでいる人が土地を好きになってくれたらなぁ、と思います。
