A week ago, I went up to Mt. Hakodate with a group from Singapore. It was raining in the morning and afternoon and I was worried if we could enjoy the view at night from Mt. Hakodate. But it was needless fear. When we go up to the observatory, we can see a double rainbow rising up the sky.
Leaving from the door, what I saw was a very large arch.
We arrived at the observatory around five in the evening and waited for the changing shades. It was really unusual day and it was the first time to see the pink shade of the view.
The color came from the beautiful sunset. Two staff of the observatory standing behind me exclaimed in wonderment that they saw such sunset for the first time. The guests I guided on the day and I were really lucky to share such amazing sights.
Akiko lives in a city next to Hakodate and loves to drive around Hakodate and surrounding area. I hope people who visit or live in the Southwest area of Hokkaido come to love the area, too. 函館の隣町在住で道南エリアのドライブ大好きAkikoです。道南を訪れたり、住んでいる人が土地を好きになってくれたらなぁ、と思います。
