After I picked up my husband at Hakodate airport, we went to Ichimonji, a ramen restaurant by the Matsukura river in Yunokawa. I really wanted to eat ramen and my desire for a donburi of ramen was perfectly satisfied. I ordered 780yen chaccha-kei shoyu(soy sauce taste) ramen. "Chaccha" comes from the movement of sprinkling pork's backfat through a mesh strainer. The thick fatty broth matched very well to my tastes then. Mmm, yummy!
My husband ordered a salt taste ramen with chicken & shrimp dumplings, 地鶏えびわんたん麺(jidori ebi wang tang men), 930yen. This dish has two tastes and you are supposed to choose either salt or soy taste.
I believe they have only Japanese menu, but you can choose what you like judging by their appearances on the picture menu.

Akiko lives in a city next to Hakodate and loves to drive around Hakodate and surrounding area. I hope people who visit or live in the Southwest area of Hokkaido come to love the area, too. 函館の隣町在住で道南エリアのドライブ大好きAkikoです。道南を訪れたり、住んでいる人が土地を好きになってくれたらなぁ、と思います。
