This year's first post is manhole covers as usual recently XD.
When I was reviewing the older pictures, I found some I've not post on this blog. They are as follows.
As I've not written a new post for a long time, I was thinking to write about my trip to Nara and chose some pictures. But soon I noticed that I'd already written my experience in Nara.
The pictures I chose newly were almost same as before. So I add some other pictures here.
Deer are lying in Nara Park and they never fear people. Just put "deer", "Nara" and "dangerous" in your search box, you'll know the reality.
The picture below was taken from Nigatsudo temple which is famous for an annual traditional event called "omizutori" which means taking of the holy water. But the famous scene of this event is otaimatsu, a large burning torch/or torches are brought from the end of the terrace to the other. From the terrace, you can see Todaiji temple in the center.
This is Todaiji temple. It was once the world largest wooden structure.
As for my friend who is from Nara, the window in the center opens on new year day and visitor can see the face of Birushana Buddha.
When I visited the temple, an event was being held and you can see some monks in front of the statue of Buddha.
The height of the statue is about 14.7 meters and its construction dates back to 752.
